If you decide to make these soft peanut butter dog cookies, make sure your peanut butter does not contain xylitol. This is toxic for your dog.

I like to use peanut butter that contains only nuts and salt.

These dog cookies are best when enjoyed within a day our two. If you can’t use them up that quickly or if you want to double the recipe, you can freeze them.

Remember: When giving your pet any new food, start slowly and watch for negative reactions. If in doubt about any recipe or ingredients, consult your vet.
