1. Beach Day

Grab the beach umbrella and a frisbee, and get ready to make some waves!

A beach day is great fun in the summer, but can also be a perfect activity in the cooler months of spring and fall. It’s a great opportunity for your dog to get some exercise and burn off that excess energy. What if you don’t have a beach nearby? Set up a sprinkler in your backyard, and have a blast with your dog anyway!

If you have a dog that loves the water, this is the perfect way to spend the day and is at the top of our list of fun things to do with your dog.

2. Camping

Most dogs love being outdoors with their humans, so camping is a no brainer.

Make sure the campsite you plan to visit is pet friendly.

Most campsites have water for swimming and interesting walking trails.

All the sights, sounds, and smells outside are sure to give your pup plenty to explore. The fresh air and mental stimulation will surely be doggie heaven to your pup.

You may want to have a few items handy for your camping trip such as collapsible pet dishes, poop bags for cleaning up, a camp mat, a safe collar with ID for your dog in case he gets lost, and a strong leash.

Tricks

3. Teach Your Dog A Trick

Sometimes you just want to spend a quiet day at home with your dog.

Why not have some fun teaching your dog a new trick.

If you find your pup has a knack for learning tricks, why not take it a step further.

Your dog just may be able to earn his trick dog title.

As a bonus, at the time I am writing this article, you can film your dog doing the list of required tricks, and have them evaluated via video. No need to leave home to earn your pup’s title. There is a fee associated with the trick dog title.
